Nuwaragala Wilderness Expedition
Hike deep into the wilderness. Camp beneath Nuwaragala Rock. Wake up above the eastern forests.

The experience
Jungle trek, ancient ruins, summit views, sunset, wilderness camping, sunrise and the return descent — a demanding two-day journey into nature.
Travel toward Maha Oya / Pollebedda, meet the experienced local trekking guide and prepare for forest trails, uneven ground and rocky climbing sections. Explore summit viewpoints and historical features as the route and access permit.
Camp with the arranged equipment, enjoy a simple hot dinner and wake early for sunrise before returning through the forest. Timings remain approximate and depend on weather, trail conditions, wildlife and group fitness.
