Tea country, mountains and Ella.
This private journey travels from Negombo / Colombo to Kandy, then climbs through Ramboda and Nuwara Eliya before spending two nights around Ella.
The route is flexible by design. Pinnawala can be included on the way to Kandy, and selected experiences can be arranged around guest interests, time and operating conditions.

Day 01
Kandy & Heritage
Travel from Negombo / Colombo to Kandy. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage can be included on the way. Explore Kandy, the Temple of the Tooth and other agreed cultural experiences.

Day 02
Ramboda & Nuwara Eliya
Visit Ramboda Waterfall, mountain viewpoints, tea plantations, a tea factory and tea tasting. Continue to Nuwara Eliya for the Old Post Office, town overview, Gregory Lake, colonial architecture and local market. Seetha Amman Temple and Lover’s Leap Waterfall can be included if time allows.

Day 03
Nuwara Eliya → Ella
Continue through the mountain landscape. Seetha Amman Temple and Lover’s Leap Waterfall can be visited on the way if not completed on Day 02. If the Nuwara Eliya–Ella railway is operating and available, a scenic train journey can be arranged. If not, a short Hali Ela–Ella train ride may be arranged instead, subject to availability. Little Adam’s Peak or Nine Arch Bridge can be discussed with the guests if time allows.

Day 04
Ella Experience
Explore Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak, Ella town, cafés, local shopping and photography. Visit Ravana Waterfall, with Ravana Cave or Ella Rock available according to guest interests, time and conditions. Tea factory visits and tea tasting are not planned in Ella.

Day 05
Ella → Agreed Destination
Finish the journey with drop-off at the agreed destination. If travelling towards Colombo, Galle Fort — UNESCO World Heritage Site — can be included as an agreed stop if time permits.
